During our participation in the 2024 Annecy International Animation Festival, Andrés Rossi was invited to take part in the Talent Panel "Identities: Creating Together with Respect and Fluency," moderated by Christophe Erbes.
The session brought together creators from different countries to discuss how to approach, represent, and build stories related to identity and diversity in animation, focusing on the importance of doing so with respect, sensitivity, and an authentic perspective.
Alongside Emilie Tronche, creator of Samuel, and Cheng-Shu Chung, director of Lost and Found, Andrés shared the process behind ELO and the experience of developing a project that seeks to broaden the representation of children with disabilities.
Taking part in this panel was an opportunity to exchange experiences with other creators and be part of an international conversation about how animation can build new representations and open spaces for different identities and ways of seeing the world.
